You were told to save your for a rainy day.
You saw your parents work their @ss off making ends meet as immigrants.
Spending money on YOU makes you
You have worked your butt off to make your
You sacrificed your youth to make it as a doctor
You missed the parties
You missed all the traveling
You missed enjoying your independence while in medical training
You gave up your social life and all your time to “make it” in life
When will you start using your money on you?
When will you let go your childhood money story?
When will you stop asking for permission from your husband, parents or partner?
I know this story all too well because that was me too.
It took some mindset work to understand and accept that I did feel uncomfortable when I thought about spending $$$ on me.
My parents’ voice was always in my head-
Do you need that?
You should save you money just in case….
Always spend on others first
I found myself needing to justify my reasons to my husband if I was going to spend on me.
I was proud of all the ways I saved $$$.
Skimping and couponing was a badge of honor
Now I make way more and spend even more without any guilt or justification
I am enough
I don’t need permission
Taking care of me 1st is the best way to take care of my family
